Based in Lake Oswego, Oregon, Northwest Center for Applied Psychophysiology uses the
latest biofeedback technologies and related methods to help clients manage
and relieve their stress.
As the principal owner of the business , Eleanor Metzkier
Kurtus brings a broad professional perspective in serving diverse client
needs. She has held management positions in Fortune 100 companies as well
as having provided extensive volunteer service with hospice patients. She
is board certified by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA)
and is a licensed HeartMath® Provider.
She is a stress expert who trains and coaches clients
to manage stress and improve the quality of their lives.
Eleanor earned her PhD in Psychology from Capella University. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from
New York University and a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. She also
holds a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from the Illinois School
of Professional Psychology. She is licensed in Pastoral Care from the Association
of Unity Churches and is also a certified Healing Touch Practitioner.
Eleanor has always combined her love of science and technology with her passion
for serving people. During her career she has received multiple awards for excellent
performance and has been honored for her high level of trust, integrity, and
commitment to service.
